Our country was founded by these people. I don't see how we could change it now. These different secret societies are just that...very secretive. Do you think they would give up their members so that they could serve public offices?

What about people who go to church every Sunday to worship? Wouldn't they also be serving two masters (the American public and God)? Where would you draw the line?

Do you have any creditable source that says being a mason interferes with public office.

If it were a requirement you be a Mason to run for office you would get much more trustworthy candidates.

From your question i can see you have no understanding what being a Freemason is about.

Being a Freemason is all about being and the key things taught at a Freemason lodge
--HONEST
--TRUSTWORTHY
--TOLERANT OF ALL RELIGIOUS BELIEFS
--TOLERANT OF ALL POLITICAL OPINIONS
--CHARITABLE
--BELIVEING ALL PEOPLE ARE EQUAL
--BELIVEING THAT A PERSON INTERNAL QUALITIES ARE MORE IMPORTANT THAN HIS WORLDLY WEALTHS OR HONORS
--AND TRYING YOUR BEST TO BE AN ALL AROUND GOOD PERSON

I am a Freemason and proud of it. If you can point to one creditable soucre that disagrees with me please send me a link.
I have been searching for a long time any former Mason that says they have seen evil cult like stuff in a lodge. All of these people that say they are former Masons have no proof they belong and there stories contradict every thing i have seen first hand at a lodge. For example there are no higher levels beyond the 3rd degree. Degrees with higher numbers are part of a different group that requires you to be a mason to join

No, I do not agree. Take a good hard look at the Roman Catholic Church. Seriously. Or even the two branches of the Lutheran Churches. It may just really surprise ppl.

You have a group of friends.
Remember who sits together at lunch in high school.

Clubhouse with a name or none, groups will form no matter.
Intent and ideals is another thing.
Remember there is other groups with as much knowledge with different ideals. Power doesn't only come in forms of government, money and tanks.
