Hi, my name is philip.
I just moved from europe and now I live in michigan...
I grew up with graffiti, heres the thing I started art when I was about 4 and by the age of 10 I started sketching and by the age of 12 I started graffiti.

OMG people, GRAFFITI IS ART!!!! unless you are defacing walls NOT!!! it's art... art art art.... JEEZ, like techno people think it's not music, but it is!!!

Ok now, clear your mind, find a name, that second step may take days or weeks, then start sketching or better tagging which involves "signing" your name in a urban stylish way...

then move on either to sketching a mural with words and characters or whatsoever and then if you feel confident go buy some cans and spray, (even if the wall is already sprayed and its legal you can spray over it if you think its not a gangs mark lol )

try to make it legal because then you can take all the time you want, and not deface and get in trouble and make us all look bad...

Graffiti doesn't just mean scribbling on walls...if its a sort of graphic design or something it is classified as art. Practice really does make perfect, start with something easy as your name add colours and then move onto bigger designs...just no graffiting walls lol ;)

practice makes perfect! find some empty walls in your dilapidated council estate (if there's any that aren't already covered in spray paint) and get practising.

Honestly you yobs today are so lazy and impatient - you might get your dole handed to you on a plate every week, but some things take a bit of effort

Why bother? Why not just leave other people's property alone and use your notebooks for doodling on, if that's what you feel like doing. What makes you think that people want to see your scribblings in public places on a daily basis? If you want to have your opinion noticed, make a film on youtube or make a blog. Hooligans, who needs 'em?
