I have a 5 yr old, a 3 yr old and a baby. The lack of sleep can get to you, you need to make sure that when you can, you get some. Other than that, it really is just messier around the house, and a bit crazy when we go out...but your boys are old enough to be sleeping through the night, to hep with cleaning and minor chores, and even old enough to not go through the extremely jealous toddler phase. I am sure you will be fine.

I have a 10 year old, a 6 year old and a 7 week old. The only thing I find difficult is trying to nurse and get the kids ready for school or referee them. At that age they are old enough to understand that mommy needs a few minutes with the baby, and jealousy (at least in my house) of the baby is a minimum. They should also be able to go play when you need a minute, and also help you with the baby if they want to.

This will only be as difficult as you make it. Really. The boys are old enough to help you out a lot in the early days... and they will take on the attitude you model for them. If you ask them to entertain the baby for a few minutes while you wash your hands or grab a diaper, they'll get used to taking part in the "raising" of the new little one. If you worry a lot that they're not going to adjust, then they'll see a reason to not adjust...
I actually thought three was much easier than two... My son was 8, and my older daughter was 5 when my youngest was born.

We have a 17 year old, 15 year old, 12 year old and a 6 year old. When our youngest was born, all the others were in school, our daughter who's 12 years old now entered kindergarden 2 weeks before our youngest was born. It was hard, because now we had another child to care for, but it was also easy because by our 4th child, we already had the experience of parenting multiple children and parenting in general. Honestly, it's up to you how difficult it will be. It's all in the attitude, depending that you have children without special needs. You can make it as hard or as easy as you want it to be.

I'm only 20 now (my birthday was yesterday) and i have hree chidren two are girls one is 5and the other is 3 and i have a son he is 6, i don't think it's hard to take care of my children they are young and just learning but luckily i have a husband to support me and my children.
Babies on the other hand are hard when you have 2 other children, because babies cry and everything and then your other chilren think they can run wild. But good luck with your baby and i hope everything turns out right for you and you find the help you need.

We have 5 children they are 20,19,18,12 and 7.
I couldnt say it was difficult as the older ones were old enough to be at school which gives you a break.
Just remember to include them in what you do,and allow them to help with the baby.
They normally enjoy helping and it lets them feel important to you and the baby, and they also are'nt missing out on your attention.
So i'm sure things will work out fine, and don't worry things tend to workout just right even though you think they won't.

You will have your work cut out .I agree 100% it will be not only difficult but hard work .A baby is not hard for your other children to accept has long has they don't feel neglected .they will be protective towards it I should think let them help you do things for the babe .It wont be a baby for long anyway .I am a grand parent .I don't envy you I find 2 Grand children hard work when looking after 2 together 2 girls.I think boys are more accepting than girls yes your boys will be fine don't worry congrats to you

my childen are 15, 14 and 10 and 8 and when i had my third child it wasn't that hard as the older ones where out of nappies and did occupy themselves for small amounts of time. they also had each other as company, and wanted to play the nurse roll with the new baby, so it wasn;t that bad and not too stressful. it was more stressful getting back into the routine again rather the age issues !!
hope your baby is healthy and well when born, good luck and don't worry everything will fall into place, it usually does

i only have two but i think it will be fine you can be grateful you will have little helpers for one and two you can be glad that come august they will both be in school so that you can bond with baby as well. during summer after having baby just remember to take the time to show the older boys mom hasnt forgotten about them and leave baby with a sitter or hubby to take them out to the park or pool and ice cream and do things with everyone so that they dont feel that the new baby will be the attention hog just prepare them for what is coming and it will be fine good luck and congrats

you have had two children with only a year between them having another one now shouldn't be as hard especially if you are positive about it all and get your older children involved.
my eldest is three in april, my daughter is 2 in march and my third baby is due in september. you just get on with it. make it easy for yourself
good luck with it all.
p.s buy a gift for your older kids from the new baby for when it arrives. kids tend to like the new baby more when they get something out of it!!
