Depends on your major and what credits your coming in with. I took ENG102, SPA313, CHM114, MAT294, and HON171. I'm a biomed engineering major and I came in with enough credits to be a sophomore. The HON171 class is an honors student class.

Colleges differ from each other. And colleges have changed their emphasis over the years. It used to be that the first year or two was/were devoted to "core" subjects...the things that all "educated" people should know. Now days "relavency" has replaced "educated" and you can get through college without knowing what Shakespeare, the Bible, past tense, or subjunctive mode are.
You need to read the college catalog...though a number of colleges do not send out catalogs because they think that high school students are either too stupid or too lazy to read one. You might go online at the college of your choice and try to find a catalog there. Most colleges do have them burried behind "relevant" stuff.
(I'm not opposed to education...just frustrated by it. I have been going to college for 59 year first as a student then a professor and now as a student again.)
Good luck!

take with your HS advisor and also the college you plan on attending for the specifics

Basically, you will be doing a review of all the years you've been in school. Bummer, huh? Unless you're really speciallized, I doubt you'll be offered any special classes other than basic history, language, maths, etc. Electives are much more open to you. Good luck. Do well . They want to know how much you've learned so far!

you should ask your guidance counsler or even an academic advisor at the college you will be attending, but your core classes are usually english, math, intro to computers, a bunch of social sciences(like psych, sociology, history, etc), some kind of bio or chem... it also all depends on what ur majoring in
