They look like embarrassing musicals. I noticed alot of people in Britain watch them, does that include English people who don't understand the language? Is it worth watching such mediocre films with subtitles.
The films don't seem to be about anything, there only seems to be one genre, no crime thrillers etc, just the standard romantic stuff.
Japanese/Chinese films on the other hand, even if you have to read subtitles are BRILLIANT. Enter the Dragon is coming on TCM!

I don't watch them, but I have in the past been around people who have, and by the lloks and sounds of it, it was terrible, so I guess I do know something about it. I am open to new ideas, you do have to try things before you can decide anything, I am just stating an opinion, why do people who watch them get so gravely offended, like I am attacking their religion or something!

Wouldn't think many English people look at Bollywood films, I would say there would be a fair Indian and Pakistani following as they understand the language in the films.

People watch bollywood movies because they are the best movies out there with great life lessons. For your information, it's not the same romantic stuff everytime. I guess u have not watch any bollywood movies at all. Why don't u give it a try before commenting on something u know nothing about.
