I love spending time with him, he makes me laugh, he is very attrative, very caring, genuine, trustworthy, hot, great job, would make a wonderful father so why dont I know if I want to marry him or not?
Is this my gut trying to tell me something or can I make possibly the best thing that ever happened to me last forever?

The fact that he's hot, attractive, caring, genuine, trustworthy and working at a great gig are only icing on the cake. The cake then becomes the question and actually, the cake might not be him--it could be you.
You've got go to deep inside and figure out what it is about him--or you that's keeping you from running to the altar. Outwardly,--based on your description of him, he sounds like a catch. So unless you've left something out about who and what this guy is all about, I'd say it's up to you to find out why you might now want to marry him. It could be a simple as you just don't want to marry this guy or anyone right now.

You forgot one thing in your list, and if it is missing then you definitley should not marry him. The thing that is lacking from you list would be that you love him.
If you do love him; but still are not sure it could be you havn't been with him long enough. If it has been more than a year and a half, and you stil don't know then do some soul searching, and decide if your hesitation stems from something internal about you, or something about him (could be his charachter, personality, could be he is a great guy but just not the one for you).

Marriage is a big step. But it is usually the next step from here. You said yourself that he is the best thing that ever happened to you. He has great qualities and seems to be someone who makes you happy. He sounds like a keeper to me. I wish you luck. You are just nervous about it, just ask yourself, Is he someone I could wake up every morning to and would he ever be someone you could not ever live without? Good luck!

If you are questioning marriage, then wait for a while. You should have no doubts that he is the one before you take those vows. Maybe you should continue on with your relationship the way it is for a while and then make your decision. There's no need to rush to the alter if you have any doubts. Good luck.

if you are not sure now--you need to put that wedding on hold. those doubts will continue to nag at you even after you have tied the knot and then you have a huge mess! you need to be 100% absolutely sure before you take the plunge. Your question doesn't say that he has actually asked you to marry but I am assuming that he has!
