Apparently my asthma inhaler has caused me to develop thrush and, yuck, I want to get rid of it! Is seeing the doctor for a prescription of something the only route? He didn't take it seriously when I told him that I was having troubles and just said to rinse my mouth thoroughly or brush my teeth after using the inhaler!

Well your Doctor is right, obviously you do need to rinse better after using your inhaler. It is a common problem for people using inhalers, but.... For now, the best thing is baking soda. I had the worst case of thrush from antibiotics. Went and spoke to my pharmacist and he suggested baking soda, gargle 3 times a day. Amazing, cleared it right up in just a few days. Kind of yucky but cheap, fast and does a great job. It also leaves your entire mouth nice and clean.

If this continues to be a problem you may want to talk to your Doctor about difloucan.

Get a prescription for yeast infection (that is what thrush is), eat yogurt, try drinking lost of water, no sugary drinks. Sugary products keep the thrush producing. Very important to rinse well after using the inhaler, try brushing your tongue 2 times a day.

Get on the thrush as soon as possible, as in my case, it can go into the esophagus and then it takes forever to go away and it is very! painful.

See if you can get something like a Canestan over the counter pill. I know they are available in the UK without prescription. Are you sure its thrush though?

Are you sure you have Thrush? It actually hurts and burns. I'd get a new doc. If you have it, you may need diflucan and/or a mouth rinse.

Get Canesten pack with tablet and cream and try drinking a lot of cranberry juice to keep it off.
