He sounds a really lovely, considerate friend to both his male and female friends. Not weird at all in my book.

I think he's a good friend. Taking a guy friend out to lunch is not gay. Why can't 2 guys go to eat together and not be seen as gay. People are way too sensitive about that. If him taking his female friends to lunch bothers you, ask if you can join them. It sounds like you have a good guy who is thoughtful and kind to his friends. You are making too much out of this!

I don't think that you're weird for thinking that way - I do think that you are insecure in your relationship with your boyfriend. Just becuase two people are at lunch together does not mean that they are an item. Gay or straight. I think you should talk to your boyfriend and tell him how what he does makes you feel. There is bound to be a compromise - maybe you can join him in taking out his friends.

I agree with your partner. He's showing a friendly gesture that he cares on their birthdays and is willing to put in the effort. If people want to think he's wierd or gay, then that just makes them very narrow minded.
Thats like thinking my partners acting gay by going to the Cinemas with a male friend, he's doing something he enjoys with people he enjoys doing it with.
Maybe you shouldn't worry about what people are going to think about you all the time and stop judging your partner.

I think its really nice. I love taking my friends out for lunch or breakfast. I love it cause I'm able to catch up with them, and share a couple of hours with them, and treat them. I do it with my girl and guy friends. My boyfriend doesn't mind at all. I also love when my friends take me out, its a sweet gesture.

i think that this situation is completely normal. if you don't like what he is doing i think you would feel more comfortable if there are more people in those outings. why don't you go out with him when he takes his friends out? i think you should go with him. so at least when he takes his male friends he doesn't look gay and when he takes his females out you wont feel "jealous" , because i know you feel that way.

My wife and I are very close and when we started dating we both had lots of friends and of both sexes. However when we started getting more serious we began tapering off our time with other sex friends. We still hang out with our friends only we have time when we are both present and not alone. The fact that he is taking friends out for their birthday isn't a big issue but ask if he would mind if you went with him. That may work. It would also help the both of you bond.

i dont think that its weird to take his friends out for their b-day! but,i dont think that you are weird either, i think that you just have a problem with him taking his female friends out and just making the whole situation an excuse! not being harsh about it but, if you do have a problem why dont you just ask to go with him the next time.
