Go visit her a few days a week, set and talk to her about when she was young ask here to tell you about the family, you'll learn a lot and make her feel needed at the same time, believe me your going to find out things that will bow your mind.
P.S
Take her some flowers and maybe buy here a sweater (all grandmothers sweaters) it’s always’ cold in the rooms.
God bless and we’ll keep her in our prayers.

Try not to mention about her leg after the first few minutes
Laugh at her if she is making jokes and also give her yours
Get her a card that you have made it yourself.Keep it as original as possible. Use bright colours to cheer her up.
Listen very carefully when she is talking
Get her favourite dish: the one she likes try making it yourself and tell her that you have done it. She will feel appreciated.
Trust me.
I wish her a quick recovery
Let me know how it goes please

Read her a fine & somehow sad story....This may lead her to cry a little and with the cry she will feel relieved a little...
Ask her to tell you about her old days when she was your age...
This tends to get her out of the mood she is in at the moment...
Ask her for her opinion on a problem you have faced at school or with a friend....This tends to make her feel competent enough and not having some sort of a lack...
If you know some really funny jokes...do not hesitate to say it with a laugh while saying it yourself...This tends to make her heart filled with joy...

You just being there should be enough. Let her know about the people who have no one to come and visit or that have no place else to go. My grandmother was in a nursing home, something I hated about my family, and she was just happy whenevery I showed up. It's terrible to go through what your grandmother did, but a lot of people have it far worse with no one to care.

So sorry to hear about your grandmother. You are the best thing to cheer her up. But a newspaper or some magazines and snacks might be nice for when you can't be there.

MY ANSWER MIGHT BE VERY STRONG FOR YOU, ASK AN ADULT IF YOU DECIDE TO USE IT...TAKE YOU GIFT WITH YOU AND STAY WITH HER, HOLD HER HAND, IF SHE IS FEELING BAD, TRY TO HAVE ALWAYS SOMEONE AROUND HER, Every thought and feeling produces a neurochemical change in your brain, SO YOU MUST MAKE SURE SHE DOESNT HAVE TOO MUCH TIME ALONE, AT LEAST AT THE BEGINNING THAT MAKE HER FALL INTO A DEPRESSION, TELL HER TO LIVE ONE DAY AT A TIME, TELL HER YOU LOVE HER AND CARE FOR HER...READ TO HER...BE THE FIRST TO SUGGEST YOUR PARENTS THAT SHE CAN GET INTO MEDITATION GROUPS...
I REALLY WISH THIS HELPS YOU

Spend as much as you can with her. Also if you have some really good friends, take them with you. Make sure your grandma knows that there are people who care for her. That's the greatest gift.
Lord bless you and your grandma.

you can treat her the same even though her leg is gone. dont make her feel like she is hopeless just because of her incident. let her do her usual activities. make her feel young like she can do what a person with two legs can do. make her feel like she is wanted by everyone make her feel like she is the same ol grandma she was when she had her legs. the reason why i know is because i have a friend who had the same problem u have.

The best thing is your presence and your love which you are giving so abundantly. Bring her something to do when you're not there. A book of Crossword puzzles?
