I admire so much about my husband that it's hard to narrow to just five things, but here goes:
Patience: He never loses his temper, he's calm, cool, and always collected.
Optimism: No matter what bad things are thrown in our path (and there have been quite a few in the last year), he's always looking on the bright side, encouraging me to do the same. He pulls me through the dark times.
Devotion: He doesn't do anything half-way or half-assed. He's diligent at work, attentive to me, and takes care of everything he has to with the same high level of enthusiasm.
Care-taking: I've had some very serious health issues over the past year, and he has been the best nurse and care-giver anyone could ask for. The nurses in the hospital often referred to him as my private nurse, as he took care of all my needs, even if it meant bending the hospital rules. As I'm home now and still having some issues, he continues to take the best care of me.
Kind: He's just a kind person, always gives people the benefit of the doubt, always offering help, even to strangers.
These are qualities I often lack, and that's part of why I so admire him. We're very opposite in a lot of ways, and I'm becoming a better person for being with him.
