I need help with my science class. Plz answer. Plus if you dont mind can you answer these too?:
The number of protons can be determined by looking at what on the periodic table?

What was the four elements that Archimedes thought there was in the world?

Moseley ordered the elements on the periodic table according to what?

The periodic table is currently ordered by what?

What are three characteristics of metals, nonmetals, and metalloids?

What do elements in the same family have in common?

What do elements in the same periods have in common?

Why are the Lanthanide and actinide series at the bottom of the periodic table?

The symbols for the elements sometimes dont make sense to us. Why is that?

Plz someone help. In return ill try to answer your questions if I see any. But if you are able to answer all of these questions I doubt you would really ask anything.........^_^

What is the only difference between any atoms?
There isn't just one difference, but the one I think the question is referring to is the number of electrons. Each different type of aton has a certain number of electrons.

The number of protons can be determined by looking at what on the periodic table?
The atomic number

What was the four elements that Archimedes thought there was in the world?
Earth, air, fire, water

What do elements in the same periods have in common?
they all have the same number of valence electrons

The periodic table is currently ordered by what?
the number or electrons they have

An atom basically has a nucleus which has protons and neutrons and surrounding the nucleus are electrons, this finished subject is an atom. whilst an atom or atoms bond with different atoms the completed group is termed a molecule. So a molecule is extra advantageous than one atom bonded mutually.

*The only difference between atoms lies in how many protons lie in the nucleus.

*The # of protons can be determined by looking at the atomic #

*Archimedes believed everything was made of the elements "earth, air, water, fire"

*The reason some symbols for the elements don't seem to make sense is that they reflect the name of the element in another language, such as latin or german.

Hope this helps, the others would be guesses on my part and i don't want to steer you wrong.

What is the only difference between any atoms?

The amount of electrons in them.

The symbols for the elements sometimes dont make sense to us. Why is that?

The symbols may come from its Latin or Greek name which we don't know so it doesn't make sense to us.

Your other questions, I have no clue how to answer.

Atomic number

earth wind fire water

atomic number

atomic number

metals are good conductors of heat and electricity, usually form ionic compounds, 1 and 2 group metals are very reactive
non-metals are poor conductors of heat and electricity, usually form covalent substances, form brittle solids
metalloids are semi-conductors of heat and electricity,

same chemical properties

they fill the same energy shell

bascically because their chemical properties don't conform entirely to periodic law(look this one up to be sure)

because the symbols are latin but we name the elements in english
