I'd like to discover some good roots reggae besides the obvious Bob Marley recordings. I am familiar with many reggae artists but I'd like something new that is good and that DOES NOT fuse rap or hip-hop or dancehall into the mix. Just looking for music similar to Bob Marley's music.

I'm not sure of specific album names as most of my music is on 45's, however if you try this artists, you'll find music that is on the same level as Bob's: (in no particular order)
Dennis Brown
Black Uhuru (Michael Rose)
Burning Spear (definitely a big BIG artist)
Peter Tosh (alot of Bob's music is this man's)
Barrington Levy
Jr Murvin
Lee Scratch Perry (produced some of the greatest tunes ever)
John Holt
Gregory Isaacs
Jacob Miller
That should give you a good starting base...
