M.R.I. ?
im getting one tomorrow, and a little scared.... im claustrophobic

I'm really claustrophobic. See if you can get an open MRI. I've had three closed MRIs (right wrist, left knee, lower and mid back) and an open MRI on my brain (I'm a migraine patient). The open MRI was by far the best. I didn't freak out at all. I was just bored since the TV died.

I have, and my 13 year old son has had 3. He said the ones on his knees were fine, but the one on his shoulder made him feel claustrophobic becasue he had to go further into the machine. They should give you headphones and ask you what radio station you like.
I was allowed to go in the room with him, it made him feel better.

I think here they let you listen to music. I'm pretty sure you can even bring your own. Having music you like might be a pleasant distraction.

I've never had one, but I feel for you, I can't stand enclosed places either... and lying still in one would drive me batty.
Hang tough... though, you'll be okay... keep your eyes closed and hum a tune... that usually helps me. Let them do what they gotta do...just focus on that tune.

i'm 14 too i had one last year. it's not all that bad try not to focus on exactly what's gonig on think about something eles
