Life or spending money on movie, The Number 23?

My pick would normally be life, but The Number 23 was just awful.

Definately spending money on a movie is a bigger waste! Even TV is a waste! It's just a brain washing machine!

I can understand where you are coming from though because I have suffered from depression for many years! It is especially difficult if you do not have a specific faith, as I don't...I imagine you must feel like, "What is the point of it all?"

Believe me- I have been searching for the meaning of life for many years. I read the book 'Man's Search for Meaning' by this Jewish dude who was in concentration camps for a number of years. His life was basically taken from him and he (a psychologist) came to the understanding that the meaning of life is the meaning that YOU give to life.

Now if you don't have children to give you a reason and you personally give your life no meaning then you are indeed in a difficult position.

The state of the world right now is enough to give one an utter sense of dispair. My brother is currently suicidal. I think if one can forget themself, and just explore every aspect of the world around them, from the history of civilization, to the aurora borealis, to the formation of the stars and the earth, there is so much to learn and discover that sometimes I don't even sleep at night! Why waste one's precious time on a stupid fictional Hollywood movie! Reasearching the possibility of life on other planets is so much more fascinating!

spending money on a movie. movies are so overrated. they take too long, and i dont have the patience to sit and watch tv for that long.

if you see a movie once then you have already seen it, ther is no point in seeing it again.

well in the future you should ask your friends/loved ones to give you movie card gift certificates for your birthday/holidays..that way you can see movies for free and if they suck, at least you aren't losing any money.
