I would listen to the tv and to music but would also learn to read and write in braille. I would then still be able to read, which is one of my favorite pastimes. I actually watch very little tv. You can also get books on tape for those that aren't printed in braille.

Here we go with the dumb blind questions again.

Firstly 99 percent of people who are blind ARE NOT totally blind, many have some vision.

So therefore having a tv set in a room isn't that extraordinary, there's such a thing as descriptive narration, kind of like what closed capitoned for the hearing impaired is.

You know why not as a real psychology project and question, interview blind people about the myths and bias and out and discriminatioin enacted on them by supposedly abled- bodied persons , who show their stupidity and igorance with repeatedly posting idiotic blind questions.

Well, at least, I will thank my God I have my sense of hearing to be able to hear and enjoy the sounds coming from the TV.

With this in mind, I would look for a music channel, open the volume, (not very high though) , and enjoy the songs and maybe dance to the tunes, since I wouldn't want to frustrate myself by turning on a movie channel and trying to figure out what they look like or what they r doing

I have a friend that is blind and he always has the TV on. He loves listening to it. Blind people do everything that seeing people do. He was a mechanic before loosing his sight, and he still works on cars, I think it has made him a better mechanic since he has to rely on his other senses

I'd listen to the tv and let my imagination picture the characters, actions, settings. But you knwo it'd be very disorted never being able to see the sky or anythign of the sort.

I would listen to the TV. Even though I couldn't see it, it would keep me linked to everything that was going on.
