Well, not neccessarily change, but open hearts and minds. I want to write a book, I need to improve society. Give me as many tips as possible on effectively opening the minds of others and plot ideas for my book. Also, what are some components that make a book good to you? Also, what do you want to see changed in society and how can we do it?

be nice, make them feel like you are on their side, that you understand them. You don't want to put people ont he offensive because they will just become stubborn and not want to listen.
Pretty much you want to appeal to them, give them a reason to listen to you.

You can't change peoples views or opinions. That's whats great about people that we have different opinions. I mean, I don't want to have someone agree with me on everything all the time. No challenge that way. If you feel the need to have everyone agree with you, it proves that you are needy and self absorbed.

One of the things that affect society so much is the media. That is an area that needs improvement for sure. If you want to try to improve your society, why not implicate yourself within the community. Do some community service as research, if you will, for your book. You'll have a better understanding that way.

Believe in your dreams and go after what you want. Risk CAN be a good thing! Good luck with your book!

The criteria is basically the same but in Marketing and more specific Advertising you want to sell your point. Three things hit the top of the list.

1, KISS... Keep it simple stupid.
2, Advantages
3, Features,
4 Benefits.

People liked to be wooed and let issues address the right side of their brain that brings out anything from these warm fuzzy feelings to full blown lust. Since it's key words with perhaps

1, similes,
2, analogies
3, parades
4, cliches
5, conundrums
6, conflict

all these make the world turn and humans become more attached to that.

First, read Dale Carnegie's "How to Win Friends and Influence People". Most of what you need to know about motivation is in there. Combine that with Aristotle's or Ayn Rand's methods of logical persuasion, and you've got an unbeatable combination! (Ayn Rand's "Philosophy, Who Needs it?" is a nice intro to critical thinking and argument.)

Look at the Islamic press and news media tactics. They're pretty good at it. In a negative way.

Seriously, though, just keep in mind the the human mind, once having been expanded, can never return to its original dimensions.

You can't change a person unless they have a part of them that wants to be changed.
