All i can remember is that the film is about a band ( all men) and the title of the film is either the name of the band or their hit song or both!! Possibly an one worded title maybe two? Can anyone help?

I would have said it was That Thing You Do! It focused mainly on the sudden success of their song (the title). Liv Tyler and Steve Zahn were in the cast as well as Tom Hanks. It had quite a lot of similarities to The Beatles if that helps.
