Any standard DVD writer reads and writes to both CD's and DVD's.
The rule is a DVD writer can do both (cd and dvd- both read and write)
A CD writer can only do CD

not brand but type you need a dvd burner lg makes some good ones but be prepared to pay $90.00 + for a good one
