Subject is the who of the sentence. ask yourself who, or what is doing the action. for these sentences, the subject, or the who or what would be : 1. bats, 2. I, 3. bats, 4.they, 5. they, 6.many people, 7. many people, 8. bats 9. their babies, 10. bats.
verbs are action words. so look for what the who ar what is doing. for these sentences: 1. ARE warmblooded animals, 2. LIKE to study bats (this one has 2, like is a verb, so is study), 3. POLLINATE many trees, 4. ARE the only mammals that can't fly, 5. EAT mosquitoes, 6.DON'T LIKE them, 7. THINK, 8.CAN'T SEE, 9.ARE born, 10. ARE nocturnal. (i capslocked the actual verbs, because i'm not sure if your teacher want s you to put the whole clause, or segmanet of the sentence)
do you see the patterns? it will help if you ask yourself, "who/what is doing something?" for the subjects, and then "what are they doing?" to find the verbs. hope this helps!!

IT'S OBVIOUS, THE SUBJECT IS THE NOUN, WHICH IS A PLACE, PERSON, THING OR IDEA. THE VERB IS THE ACTION WORD.
