How many miles before you change a timing belt on a
vauxhall frontera 2.2 diesel.w reg with 70,000 mile on the clock

lotta people do it in the range of 60k-80k. But what happens if you don't? probably nothing at all, it just a prevention maintainence. do it at that range is just a recommandation...
just do it when you have time, it would be a good idea, but its not a hurry... do it b4 it hits 100k.

i had a vauxhall 2.2 frontera. as far as i'm aware, they have a timing chain not a belt and it doesn't need changing. i work with 4x4s so am confident in answer

give a dealer ship a call and ask them what the recommended interval change is if you go over that interval (normally 60k-80k) the belt is more likely to snapp in which case all kinds of damage will occure to the pistons/valves and it would cost alot more to fix than it would for a belt change as the cylinder head wil have to be taken off.

Vauxhall have recently changed the milage for belt changes to 40,000 miles
