how do i find what is + - 5% of 330 i dont really care about the answer i just need to know the procedure

The way I do it is
"5 per cent of 330"
translates to 5 divided by 100 times 330
So "per" means divide and "of" means multiply

The procedure:

330*(1+5%)=
330*(1-5%)=

+5/100*330
and
-5/100*330 and then solve for the answer

forget the +- and calculate 5% of 330
330 * 5 / 100
33 * 5 / 10
33 * 1 / 2
16.5
Now as I understand the answer will be +-16.5
as it means a deviation of 5%, used in some calculation, to control the flow of 5 % positive or negative.

since -5% is equal 2 -0.05, u multiply -0.05 by 330 and u get 16.5

For -5%: Multiply by 0,95
For +5%:Multiply by 1,05
