I feel that NCAA players should be compensated in some way. It's just hard to do that and maintain the integrity of NCAA. By legal terms, paying students goes against being an amateur, but those rules can be changed. There is a lot of money involved and there are students leaving schools early to earn money. There has to be a way to work it out. What bothers me most is that most professional sport careers do not make it past 15 years and there is a growing number of them that do not finish school. What they could have learned in school is lost and they have the rest of their lives to live. It's all about the money and who gets it. The kids do most of the work.

They should a big fat 0. These kids are there to get a education not to gain lucrative amounts of money before they even hit the pros.Thats why college basketball is what it is,because they are fighting with passion to get to the next level. If they were getting paid in college it wouldnt be the same.

Full scolarship at the College is pretty good money. Lots of kids would love to be able to receive this. Maybe free travel packages and tickets for their parents and siblings to all of their games. As far as actual paychecks, no. The colleges are supposed to be about students first. If these student athletes want money, go to the pros and earn a paycheck.

i know what you'r saying but a full scholarship is all they need. if you paid them they'd be spoiled and think they're better then everyone else. You heard about Maurce Clarrat? great RB for Buckeyes but took money from a booster and got kicked off the team and lived on the street and went to jail for numerous reasons

as per NCAA rules they are not allowed to be paid, but I agree that they should get more than the 5-600 bucks they get each month on thier scholarships!!!!! the school makes millions off them, at least they should give some to the student athlete!!!!!

The players get enough stuff behind the scenes from boosters and alumni. Look at Chris Webber getting 250,000 from Ed Martin or Lebron James and his jerseys and Hummers.

they should get 0, partly because they get a ton of scholarship money that thousands of other worthy people who do not excel in sports do not get, and partly because the fact that they don't get paid makes the college game great...there are no players who are just in it for the money, they play because they love to play and compete and they hope that in their future it could turn out lucrative for them

Nothing - I am a huge sports fan, but when you think about it, there are chemists in college making new discoveries and they get paid nothing. Really good question.
