okay there's a guy down there that claims they get the same thing when you go too far right, but all his examples of the bad things are socialist dictatorships.

okay cynical despite what the lefties think. Conservatives aren't for theocracies, we just think it should be okay to say Jesus Christ in school in an affectionate way. We believe the nation was founded as a christian nation that's all. Hitler was not a conervative he was a socialist. I looked it up on Wikipedia.

Pol Pot's death camps are the extreme example of conservatism where doctors and other educated people are executed because they are too liberal.

Socialism can be tilted to the left or to the right. Pol Pot was tilted far to the right. I see where a liberal would want to execute other liberals but Pol Pot certainly was no liberal.

For the ultimate example in conservatism, the "Big Brother" government in "1984" was definitely NOT a liberal government nor a socialist government. That government was tilted to the right in oppressing all thoughts and actions from its citizens and torture was inflicted on those who disagreed (i.e. 2+2=5 rather than 2+2=4 subjected Winston to weeks of savage torture). Since "1984" was published, there have been governments which approached that level of savagery via conservatism. To call Pol Pot a "liberal" is perfect "doublespeak" and point gaming is also a "thought crime."

Indoctrination, 40 5 years of chilly conflict against the "socialist" u.s. has left the country paranoid with regard to the term, even nonetheless socialism is definitely a large array of innovations that decision from anarchism to Stalinist needed financial making plans and totalitarianism. the only shared thought is the perception of shopper-friendly possession, with the aid of using the human beings, of the flexibility of production. And if Europe is 2d tier to u . s . a . of a why do Europeans stay longer, have extra trip journeys, much less poverty, much less crime and extra useful severe high quality of existence many times. And dont factor out the indebted worldwide places: Greece, Spain, Italy, eire and Portugal- you will hit upon that Germany, France, Siwtzerland, Norway, Finland, Denmark, Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg, Austria, Slovenia, Czech Republic and a large style of extra are doing effectual- the isue there is in fee government financial administration and spending, no longer "socialism" itself.

You get Fascism, racism & Hitler/Nazis/concentration camps.

When liberalism & conservatism get to their most extreme & radical levels they actually become the same thing. Repressive, controling, violent, & freedomless. Kind of like Hitler & Stalin. They were both basically dictators who ruled with Iron fists & had total control over ever aspect of their countries & they killed many millions of people that they thought threaten their power.

You get countries like Afghanistan and Iran. Whose fundamentalism is based on religion, making it a theocracy. Hitler was a conservative that is why he didn't like Stalin who was a leftist.

I think you have conservatism and liberalism confused. George W. is the epiphany of what happens when a conservative goes bad.

You should go read a book, and I don't mean a comic book either.
You obviously don't know what the hell 'liberalism' is.
Fascism = 'Liberalism'?
Pol Pot = 'Liberal'?
Wow!
