At this point we need actions, not words. Let's hear some action plans.

This goes especially to Marty: True, well there will be a huge peace march on the Pentagon on Sat., March 17 07 to end the war and prevent one with Iran. That's something. It looks like there's gonna be hundreds of thousands, cuz over 200 buses from across the US are already organized and growing. I'm going to this one and urge you to as well- for more see http://www.marchonpentagon.org

I'm afraid the Wolfy is right. We really don't have much (if any) power. Over many years we have slowly given over much of the power we once had back to the government that now controls us. Even President Bush has opted out of many of the laws he has signed...basically saying that he is above the law. Also, when the Democrats took control of the house and made it clear that the American public is not in support of the war anymore, President Bush took a defiant stance. Basically saying that he didn't care what the public wanted. He sounded more like a 4 year old throwing a tantrum.

The likelihood of anyone like you or me preventing a war anywhere are about the same odds of winning the power-ball jackpot twice. Sorry.

"We The People"--------- Now, there is power.
Let me explain, When gas prices went up- Had everyone in America said "well, that's it. We refuse! I mean every last single American stayed at home (too the point that not one gallon of gas was sold in America that day) and demanded 25-cent per gallon gas- What would have happened? 25-cent gas.

Pretty much the same with Iran or any issue. If ALL or even 80% of average Americans stood together and said NO. the government would not run this country- we would.

I'll leave the process of how to do this up to you. But I promise you "they" would have no choice- "they" would listen- THAT VERY DAY.

"We, the People" have no choice!!! " It's the President and the Military making choices for us. " We the People", are barred from actions. God forbid if " We the People", came up with the solution. How would that look from a Military standpoint of view? "We the People", can talk until "We" are blue in the face about this whole crises and how far would " We" get? " We the People", vote who gets into the Presidents' seat. " We the People" vote who gets into the Governments' seat. " We the People" vote who gets into Congress. " We the People", vote for Elected Officials of any nature, color, origin, background or breed.
But, can " We the People", vote ourselves to take action upon the crises in the mid-east? NO!! So, in part, " WE the People" remain opinionated. " WE the People" can only dream.

God, if we could ONLY have a special recall election for president like they did in California to oust Gray Davis and install Arnold Schwarzenegger! I used to support Republicans but the Bush-types (beginning with father) drove me away--as evidenced by my screen-name.

In the meantime, as we suffer 23 more months of this horrible Administration and go deeper into debt, We-the-people must keep the heat up on Congress not to approriate ANY funds because without money nothing happens.

first the march will have little or no effect ., it will publicly side you with Cindy Sheehan, who lets not forget associates with the likes of Hugo Chavez...We the People see this whole thing in a nut -shell , and then Criticize the administration we do not see everything going on , nor does anyone crying "impeach Bush" have a clue as to everything going on . ((not to mention having the physical evidence to have him impeached )) All we the people can do is support those going in to harms way , the U.S. Government is not going to give every detail of this war to your favorite news channel .

Why are you having a "peace march" on the Pentagon?

Why don't you march on Tehran and talk to Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad instead? He's the one threatening other countries and saying he wants to "wipe Israel off the map"

Demanding that we Impeach Bush - and having our Representatives heed our requests and do so!

But since our Representatives have no intention of doing so I just wear my Tee Shirt that sez - "IMPEACH THE BA$TARD!" on it and love the people telling me that they love the shirt and that I am right!
