I am not sur tha if someone walked up to me and gave me a high five out of nowhere, that i would want him to be my friend....unless it is someone you know and have known for a while and have at least spoken to a few times, but to just randomly walk up a girl adn give her a high five, i dont think she will be expecting it and it will scare her more than anything else. If it is someone you know already but are too shy to talk to, then try inviting a bunch of her friends oout with you and your friends that way there is no pressure on either one of you and you can slowly but surely get to know her and she can get to know you and I am sure in no time, you will be sending hi fives each others way!

Only if you know the girl. If you dont know her and try to high five her she might get a bit freaked out. If you're one of those popular funny guys everyone knows though then its ok. You should really just start talking to her in class or something about something you both like or compliment her shoes. Thatll get her attention then you can do the whole high five thing.

If your already friends with the girl then I'm sure you can give her a high five but if you just walk up to someone and say high five it'll be very unlikely that she'll give you a high five back

It's not a bad idea to try. If the girl has a sense of humor, she might like it. If she doesn't she might be annoyed. A simple "hello" and smile might work best, but there's always room for new ideas.

i think thats kinda weird. A nice "hi" would be more appropriate. Dont treat her like one of the guys your just gonna confuse her.
