About 3 weeks ago I was bitten by a pet rat, at the time there was lots of blood and some bruising. So I just kept it clean and let it heal up. The other day i noticed the scar had sort of bumped up, and today it really hurts to touch. It's not warm to the touch, it just hurts. Is it worth seeing a doctor about? Or just nothing to worry about?

Better see a doctor, sounds like you have an infection, you may need a tetanus jab.

Pet or not. rats carry bacteria...you need to see a physician now for antibotics and perhaps have the wound incised...sounds like you have some infection deep inside...remember, a tooth bite is a puncture...worst kind of wound. The top heals and the infection grows in he bottom of it.

It's vital you go to the doctor. All your other answers confirm this. I'm only adding mine to emphasise you need to get there as soon as possible.

yes it is worth it and please do so as soon as possible!
you might have gotten an infection from the bite. no open wound caused by animal bites should go unattended.
