It probably depends on your pill. I was on Alesse 28, I know that for alesse you must take your pill within 2 hours of the time you took it the precedeing day. so 11pm would still be perfectly fine. I have heard that some need to be taken right at the same time and some dont. read through the papers that come with your pill or call your doc to find out the real answer for your brand.

This was worrying me as well when I first started the pill! I am also a night person and just finished my first month, I take it at 9:15PM. You should make sure that you have a definite time period where you can take it every day. Set the alarm on your phone, thats what I do, hehe. It might be less effective, but I heard that a 1 hour time frame is okay. However, don't get used to it! If you want it to be as effective as possible you should be taking it at the exact same time every day. =0) If you just started, maybe you should wait a month before you have a sex without a condom (making sure you both are tested) I heard two weeks is fine too. I waited a month though. You are still getting used to your pill, and the time you're taking it. Make sure you take it on time!

An hour apart will not make a difference. But taking BC pills requires great responsibilities. You must be responsible enough to take them at the same time DAILY. You must be responsible enough to learn everything about the pills you are taking. Far too many girls think they can just pop them in like vitamins and not realize the consequence of missing a day or fluctuating the schedule. If a girl cannot handle that responsibility, then they should not being taking the BC pill nor having sexual engagement until then can assume that responsibility.

I used an alarm on my telephone for the 1st week or so of being on the pill then finally did not could be reminded anymore. I oftentimes pass to mattress around 11 on weeknights so I save my p.c.. on my bedside table. I certainly have a peculiar and wonderful little in the previous-mattress ordinary so i've got worked that for the period of. (Take pill, placed on chapstick, placed lotion on ft/arms/elbows/the different dry spots, take multivitamin.) it is going to finally replace into ordinary, yet till then, a telephone alarm works extremely properly. I nonetheless set mine if i comprehend i'll be out around 11 so I won't ignore. good good fortune!

You are suppose to be taking it in the morning and there have been instances where women who dont take the pill at the proper time have gotten pregnant. The reason for taking it in the morning is related to how your hormones work. I dont take the pill because I'd have trouble remembering to take it at the same time everyday. I'm using something else because the pill isn't right for me. Talk to your doc, maybe you should be on something else too.

No, don't wory about it, the time that you take it does not matter. Just make sure you take one sometime during every 24 hour period. The pill will be perfectly effective. And anyway, you said that sometimes you just take it one hour later, which isn't that far apart anyway. So don't worry about, it'll work fine.

If it is only an hour late I doubt that it would hurt anything as long as you take it daily.
