You maybe mean Grover Washington, Jr? Al Green sang it too.

No, Al Jarreau did an album of Withers songs that included this track.
Withers actually co-wrote the song

Teaming with Elektra Records artist Grover Washington, Jr., Withers sang the crystalline ballad "Just the Two of Us," written by Withers, Ralph MacDonald, and William Salter. It went to number three R&B and held the number two pop spot for three weeks in early 1981. "Just the Two of Us" was redone with hilarious effect in the Mike Myers movie Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me, released in summer 1999.

The original 1980 hit was written by Ralph McDonald and Bill Salter, and performed by Grover Washington, Jr., with vocal by Bill Withers.
Bill Withers made some uncredited changes in the lyrics. Says Withers, "I'm a little snobbish about words, so they sent me this song and said 'We want to do this with Grover, would you consider singing it?' I said, 'Yeah, if you'll let me go in and try to dress these words up a little bit.' Everybody that knows me is kind of used to me that way. I probably threw in the stuff like the crystal raindrops."
