No, don't buy it. It is rather old. I agree with the first guy, shipping is more than the computer is worth.

That is very old technology. Not even worth the shipping cost as someone else mentioned. You might only be able to run Windows 98 on there and little else. I am also wondering how well Windows 98 would run on that (not sure how much RAM it needs to run). Another problem is that I am not sure how much software is still made to support Windows 98 (I'm not a PC person anymore, so someone else may be able to correct me if I'm wrong). Even if you are able to find software, you won't have the RAM to run much.

I'm not a fan of PCs, but go to some place like Circuit City or Best Buy, you could get a much better laptop for much less money. I had Dell's at another job recently and they did work well and buying a customized Dell is pretty easy and they are not expensive. You will be much better off buying a new laptop.

Good luck and hopefully someone outbids you or you can get out of this someway.

This is a bit of an old computer. If you are not going to do anything but typing and using Microsoft office etc. then this would be fine. If you are planning on running many newer programs you are going to have problems because of the slow processor speed and ram. Not to mention the amount of hard drive space is pretty small for any newer programs. Ultimately it depends on what you are going to be using the computer for.

That's up to you...but Windows 98 isn't supported anymore so any security or OS updates is moot...if your going to be on the internet than you are in for problems....and with the current configuration of the laptop, it would not be able to handle a OS upgrade since the processor and ram aren't able to handle say XP or Vista and we all know ME just is a bad go...and the hard drive doesn't have alot of room at all...better not to go Pentium 3 anymore...and RAM...ol..a person needs atleast 512mb to sustain the os alone!

That's not a good computer at all. You're getting a used laptop with an outdated operating system (Windows 98 is pretty awful). You don't have enough RAM on this computer.

Don't go any higher than $100 total (shipping and everything), and that is assuming the battery is in good condition.

That is a very old laptop, and is extremely slow by todays standards. It will work for your standard stuff, like office stuff, and internet, but it won't sure won't be fast at anything, thats for sure.

The $20 shipping cost is more than the value of that laptop! I would not buy that!
