We are expecting our first baby on July 4th. We don't know the sex. What do you think of our names?

Boy - Charlie Walter (Walter is my husbands grandads name)

Girl - Ella Mai

We are not sure of Mai to go with Ella though?

Like the boys name, but go with Charles on the birth certificate, and call him Charlie if you wish. Then he can use Charles later in his career.
For the girl, yeah, the Hillbillies thing. I do love Ella, though. How about Ella Rose?

I like Charlie Walter but Ella Mai reminds me of Ellie Mae from the Beverly Hillbillies. Ella is a very pretty name though, maybe something else for the middle name

I like both, but agree with Ella Mai being too much like Ellie Mai. I like Charlie, why not Charlotte for a girls name. Hope the rest of your pregnancy goes well. Good Luck

Congratulation to you guys, It is always fun to sort out of names for your baby. I think it has to be between you to decide the names that both of you like it together. If you want to look more for names before finalize the names. There is a website I like is www.baby names world.com. For me, I would name "May" instead Mai that goes with Ella because it sounds like as" lively" to go with the first name of Ella depend on your last name. Don't say your last name as your protection. Wish you good luck and have fun on this!

Ella Grace would be pretty..but just remember this is your baby, and people on here are going to be critical! Don't let some stranger talk you out of a name you really like :)
Good luck and Congrats!

Anna-Sophia would be a good one for a girl if you want "2 names put together as one name" names. Consider Anna-Sophia. It's a great baby name.
