I need to find the reciprocal of 1/3 (9-4).

1/3 of (9-4) is 5/3 so its reciprocal is 3/5, hope that helps

Always do parethesis stuff first
1/3 (9-4) = 1/3(5)
unfortunately I dont know if you meant (1/3 ) * 5 or 1/(3*5)
i.e. 1/(3(9-4)) or (1/3)(9-4) and the answers are way different.

1/3*5=5/3 with reciprocal 3/5 (just flip the numerator and denoinator)

but 1/(3*5) = 1/15 with reciprocal 15/1=15.

do 9-4 (5), and * it by 1/3, u get ur answer, and then jus flip the #s
ex. 1/2 would become 2/1 or 2

to find a reciprocal of an expression just turn it upside down.
