Either your processor is too slow or you don't have enough RAM or both.

Because of the advancement of computer science, what ever is new today is old tomorrow. With all the advancements going on in the computer world, even the learning systems have some of the same problems you have. That is why they update almost two to three times a year. It is extremely hard Not to have such problems.

There could be a bunch of reasons that can cause the problems that you describe:
1. Not enough memory ram or video ram
2. Processor too slow for on-line games
3. Video card to old for today's games
4. You are using a dial up, when cable, DSL, is required
5. Your provider really sucks.
6. You have conflicting programs on your computer
7. Need to update game or program to match provider.
8. You need to clean up your system. Get rid of any junk or cookies the conflict with the game.
9. Check all connections to your system. (cable, plugs, etc.)

Try all the above and I am pretty sure your problem will go away.

Oh my you reminded me of my good old 486 :)
The main reason for slowness is that your computer is not being able to process things as fast as it should, (what kind of processor do you have ?, are you running other applications when you try to be watch videos or so ?, do you have anything that is consuming too much of your computer power, a quick check would be by pressing ALT+CTRL+DEL and looking at the performance tab in Windows Task Manager, if you see that the CPU usage is high like more than 90% then you have something that's making things slow for you, so you should be checking for spyware or processes that take up too much power). Another possibility is that you might be having bad video drivers that makes things so slow to you.

Games can be multiple things. companies build games all different ways, so some use up more of your graphics card processor, some use up more ram, and some use up more of your main processor. sometimes a mixture of two or all three.

right click on my computer and go to the properties. on the general tab, look under the 'computer' heading.

For the CPU:
if your on a laptop, under ~ 1.2Ghz is too slow
if your on a desktop, ~1.6Ghz is slow

for RAM:
desktop and laptop, try to get 1GB of ram 512 is outdated now days specially for games.

for Graphics card:
the graphics card is a little more complex to find out, and would be a longer list than the CPU and RAM lists above. easiest thing to say is that if your computer is over 3 years old, and at the time it wasnt top of the line, then you might need to get a new graphics card (or a new computer, i recommend HP)

You need to buy a more powerful CPU, a better video card, a better sound card, and buy A LOT of memory. Do this and your computer will run more smoothly and fix your problem
