do they last long? what are the pros and cons?

I love mine. It has great suction, which works better on hard floors than sweeping. I just changed the bag in mine today and it so simple and quick. Another plus is with it being so light is very easy to carry upstairs. I have had mine for 2 years and no problems. My son has knocked ours over tons of times and never damaged it what so ever. I have bought other top of the line vaccums that only last 6-12 months.

The pros for an Oreck, they are very light weight. They are a good vacuum for suction
The cons for an Oreck, they are very narrow and take longer to vacuum an area. Changing the bag is a pain.
Dont know about changing the belt, mine didnt last that long. My baby knocked the vacuum over and the handle broke off, So to me that means it is cheaply made

Consumer Reports magazine has rated most all vacuum cleaners in the last year. Try and locate a copy and read about all the cleaners prior to buying. You can also reach htem online.

I am sure they are good quality, they have been in business for so long. I personally love my Dyson Animal though. You can look on epinions.com too. They always have good information.
