I need help with the following math problems: Write you anwer as a mixed number in the simplest form:?

a. 2 7/9 + 4 3/9
b. 1 3/4 + 5 3/4
c. 4 4/8 + 4/8

I'll do the 1st one, they're all very similar. First add 2 + 4 and get 6. Then add 7/9 and 3/9 and get 10/9. So your answer 6 plus 10/9. However, since 10 is bigger than nine, change 10/9 to 1 and 1/9. So your answer is 6 plus 1 plus 1/9 which is 7 1/9.

2 7/9 + 4 3/9= 6 10/9= 7 1/9

1 3/4 + 5 3/4= 6 6/4= 7 2/4= 7 1/2

4 4/8 + 4/8= 4 8/8=5
