i have mine done , and i waited till is was 18 so that they cant say any thing, u have to have a Id to get it done if your younger then 18 u have to go with a parent. go to a place that does tattoos and percing. it kind of hurts not bad , the sore part hurts worse then getting it done, every professional place u have to have a iD, i would not go to a none proffessional place, becase u can catch aids, HiV and other sexsually tranmitted disease and it has a higher risk of getting infected.

Hi there.
My friend simply told her parents that all of her friends had them accept for her and it made her feel left out because when all her friends would gather in a group and talk about their belly rings she don't have one to talk to them about. So her parents said that if she came up with 5 pictures proving that her friends had belly rings then she could get one...[but they don't have to be your friends] lol
I'm not sure what kind of area you live in. But I got my belly button piercing at a place called Fantasy. It is a tattoo/piercing parlor. You should ask the people around you that have their belly button pierced where they got it done at and if they were any good or not.
To me, it kind of somewhat hurt. It seems to hurt more on skinny people rather than thicker people. Not sure if that is actually true or not, but it seems that way.
I'm not sure there is a place you could get it done without an ID or parents permission, unless of course you brought along someone else's parent or like an older family member that would be more than happy to sign the papers!
Hope this helps, sweetie!

No need to yell (all caps), we can 'hear' you.
If your parents don't want you to have it, then don't get it until you are no longer under their rules. It's that simple.
Best place to get it? Um...your belly button (a shop that does piercings is where they are done, typically they are part of tattoo shops)
Feel? It's uncomfortable for a few seconds when it's being done. After that mine was very sensitive for several weeks. You aren't supposed to wear tight clothes over it for a while, have to clean it several times a day, and it can take up to a year (yes, 12 months) to completely heal.
Again, don't do it without their permission. They'll likely just make you take it out (it will close up fast) and you'll have wasted the money you spent getting it.
Wait until you are of legal age to do it w/o your parent's permission...there is risk of infection, disease (if done in an unsanitary environment) etc.

well if you're already feeling they 'won't' agree not sure how you'd convince them really.... also, no reputable place will do it w/out their consent and you DON'T want to take a risk of going to some place that WILL!! If they do consent you'd need a perfectly logical reason I'd think for them to accept the fact that it's what YOU want and not because all your friends have them - hard to do - if you're under age... It does hurt a bit but it's relatively painless and takes a good year to heal - you need to keep the area clean and it will be sensitive for about 3 months following the piercing. You have plenty of time to pierce and tattoo yourself under your own volition and I'd advise to wait for now not worth the hassle of tormenting yourself or your parents...The best place to get a piercing is a licensed store with sterile equipment... you should do major research if/when you get it done.

I would ask them if you can. You usually have to be 18 to get it done by yourself. You can get it done younger if you have your parents with you. Honesty is always the be policy with parents.
