I would probably climb the ladder. At least I could sit down every so often on a rung and absorb the view. An elevator seems so suffocating for such a long journey...especially if I'm traveling solo. Maybe if it was a glass elevator I'd change my mind.

How about both, take a elevator to the moon and climb a ladder from there to the sun, tho it wouldnt be much of a climb since you would be practically weightless atleast untill you entered the suns gravitational pull then it would be like climbing down a ladder or being pulled the closer you get.

Who would honestly climb a damn ladder to the sun? The sun is 90,000,000 miles away. I would obviously take an elevator to the moon. And plus, you would burn your *** off before you got even a million miles from the sun.
