If you're living in the northern hemisphere, winter air can be harsh on makeup and hair. Time can also. They defray the performance of normal street makeup. If you go out shopping, everything is under lights. This light can actually mess up the performance of your makeup and make it look distorted. Many homes have different lighting situations. Also, self confidence can be an issue, around people you may feel less "good looking"
Hope this helps!

it's gotta be the lighting! There are vanity mirrors that you can buy to show you what you look like in different lighting. But I say if you look good at home thats great and dont sweat it when you go out!

im the same way i think i look good before i leave the house, and when i get somewhere and look in the mirror i think i look bad, i think it is because your makeup comes off a little and then you hair does not look the same , and i like to look decent around people.

Lighting often plays a role in how we see ourselves in mirrors. That could have something to do with it.
