I am a Taiwanese.
When I see a comic book's block capitals , I don't conprehend the name if the word is block capitals now and then.

for example. " I LOVE MARY. "

Now that the words is strangy ,I don't distinguish Mary is locality or person ,

Excuse me.
American like all of block capitals words?
are you confused by all of block capticals words?
finally, Why don't you use the lowercase in comic books?

ps. I prefer lowercase to block capticals.

on the other part, If my english article's grammar is error,
could you correct it for me?

The reason they are using all capital letters it to make the the printing easier to read. When the cartoonist draws the cartoon, he is working on panels much larger than the final product in the newspaper or magazine. He or she knows that the image will be greatly reduced. Block letters can be reduced without losing the legibility.

Caps mean that you're raising your voice, also it makes reading takes longer than reading lowercase

As in Comics they're characters, it's probably that they're speaking loud, so that's why the Caps comes in.

your grammar seems great! im unsure as to why they are in block capitals. you might be able to find like marvel comics on-line and ask them, maybe they could help you! your english seems great and good luck to you.~~~~~~shannon
