After EXHAUSTIVELY thinking through the total scope of what it will mean to both of you to bring a child into your equation...Then consider some reasons why you may not have yet conceived. It might not be your problem at all, but could well be that your mate's sperm count or viability is poor. Perhaps, you have some physical issue of which you are unaware which keeps the process from happening. Perhaps, there is some disease issue, like an infection, which is present without your knowledge. Of course, all these possibilities do require that you BOTH see the doctor for the answer.
Once that is accomplished and all is found to be functional, I would encourage you to just relax and enjoy. If it is meant to be, it will happen.

It takes time, sometimes a few months or more, but I would not be concerned about not being able to have kids just yet, I hardly think that is the case. You just have to be at the right point in your cycle for it to happen. What I did....had sex nearly every day, then I didn't have to worry about hitting the right day. I got pregnant the first month I went off the BCP, so I guess it worked for me. I am sure everything is fine, good luck and have fun trying :)

If you're ready to have a child, and you've seen your doctor for a pre-conception visit, you're probably doing the right things already-charting fertility signs, using OPKs, taking pre-natal vitamins, eating right, not using alcohol, tobacco or other drugs, getting sleep and exercise. If you haven't seen your doctor yet for a pre-conception visit, you should. Are you charting fertility signs or using OPKs to see if you're ovulating? If you're not, you should be charting for at least a few moths, and if you're not ovulating, see your doctor. Not ovulating could indiacte other fertility issues.
Because you're under 35, unless you have a fertility issue that's been diagnosed, they're not likely to do anything else until you've been trying for a year. In the meantime, continue to do the right things, take good care of yourself, and chart your signs.

Don't worry. When I was 16 years old, a doctor told me I wouldn't be able to have children. It didn't bother me than. Before I got married, I told my soon-to-be husband that it might not be possible to have children with me.
So for a year we tried anyway and NOTHING. I was convinced I couldn't have children. My husband and I got divorced.
As for my 2nd husband I told him the same thing. But a miracle happened I became pregnat only 2 months into our marriage and now my son is 7 years old.!

It is never better to be ignorant. It may hurt to know the truth but in the long run it is a lot more productive. So you should go to the doctor and just be prepared. It may not be you that is infertile, it could be your boyfriend. If so you can still have kids but just not with him. Which probably wont work for you...sorry.
