A sound wave need a medium to be carried on. That is why there is no sound in space due to the face that it is a vacuum. It would be heard form inside the ship because the is air for it to vibrate.

There is air inside the ship, so they will hear him.

There is no air in space, so the only way to record his sound outside the ship is if the microphone is touching the ship itself so that it feels the vibrations from the hull.

I would think so. Sound wves need a medium to travel through. The window has substance, and if the interior of the spacecraft has an atmosphere, then the sound will be heard.

Outside is a different story.

pressurized air from the cabin inside the craft will carry the sound waves to the observer, however outside the craft the sound generated would have no medium to travel to ,so no sound
