I cant seem to get my hard drive to work when i put a disk in?

I dont know if ihaveve accidentally took it off or what i have went to add hardware but cant figure it out.What do I need to do? The little CD use to spin beside the arrow it dont no more.Can someone please help

So I am assuming you are meaning the CD-ROM and not the Hard Drive.

If it is no longer recognizing disks when you put them in the CD drive then it either has loose cables, dirty lens or the controller has gone bad.

I would check the back of it to make sure the cables are seated properly. Then I would go get a CD drive cleaner, you can get them almost anywhere for under $10.

If none of that does it, then try putting a different drive in the machine and see if it works.
