Dealing with this topic is like dealing with something like...."Is there a God? Has anyone seen Him?".... You don't have evidence "at all" to visually and aureally prove that contention but only that people are being anthropomorphic. I am one of them too. "warning: dont eat while reading this"

Imagine the universe to be a fresh lump of dung released by a horse. Pause....The dung is hanging in thin air. It's sort of round with some fragments trying to escape the round to break it's internal torsional strain.... 300 ms later the lump is 10cm from impact onto the ground. The universe is NOT expanding evenly!. Get back to the horse dung. On clinical/microscopic examination under highly powerful microsopes, it will be noticed that a microorganism, is distanced from another one by about...10 um (micrometer) Now if you scale the universe with the horse dung (which I admit is inaccurate), it work out to be that, a planet with life is distanced from another planet with life by about 170 light years!. Proof? sure.. M317 alpha, the star system closest to the earth, IS 180 odd ly away and NASA's radio-spectroscopic examination (the test that predicts the kind of gases present in a planet's atmosphere without performing any chemical tests) shows the planet to have earth like atmospheric conditions, only that the distance of the planet from its parent star suggests that the planet should possess -40'c ~ +5'c resembling Arctic conditions on Earth. Well... you have polar bears surviving, feasting on fishes and sea-lions, who knows you could have life there ony which could not have evolved to a stage where they begin to realize like us if, we're the only ones alive. It could take maybe some time for an "ayushi-like" creature in that planet to come to be, who questions someone over the internet " oh are we alone?"

I'm so sick of the number of humans alive, it pains be to think of another 100 Billion "intelligent" life forms, to complicate my life further.

ofcourse they do humanity as a whole just have not met them yet, but to put it into perspective there is another race out there that is just like us looking up at the stars wondering if there is anyone else out there aswell. the universe is a vast place so many galaxies so many stars and planets its beyond comprehension so is life we are but a single ant hill in an endless desert it may take generations for the ants to reach the next dune but in time they will that is if it can come to survive and work with each and every member of the ant hill to overcome the harshness in which they live.

My mom grandfather ect.. were up at there camp one year and they were looking at the stars then they saw this thing moving all over the sky it was blue green and red this was in NH and could have been the famous dancing lights aka the northern lights but it was not it was of course a UFO and they kept watching it it went side to side up to side then down horazontal everything a hellicopter CAN NOT do a plane CAN NOT DO that also and then BAM just as quick as it came it left but heres the good part it went in a famous lake well now its famous the lake is on a farm and is now known as UFO lake the UFO landed in there the goverment was in there not letting ANYONE in but they never let anyone in but the took somthing out and to this day goverment will not talk about it so u ask urself are there UFOS of course are there et's of course think about what i just said and about the goverment its true and its true think bout it

There is a lot to say about this question. The truth is we only have an Idea. Statistically they do. We have already found 200 planets around other stars, and we have managed to find the composition of two of those planets through spectroscopy. So far a lot of them are much two hot because they are really close to their star. This though is just a selection effect because those planets are easy to find. Scientists suspect that their may be life on jupiter's moon Europa due to the fact that it has an underground ocean.

This is a highly debatable question. Many people view it as a religious topic. i.e. "God created us in his image, therefore 'aliens' in any other image would not exist." Or, some may say that in the Bible, "other worlds I have made" are spoken of, and therefore aliens do exist. Some scientists say that if you consider the vastness of the universe and the sheer number of stars "out there", it is very likely that some of them would contain habitable worlds, and likely that life in some form would evolve there. That is not to say that it would necessarily be intelligent life, although it could be.

No one knows for sure. But I think so. Why would the earth be the only place where animal life developed, when there have been signs of accomodable conditions in other galaxies. There are outerspace plants (I think), there should be other forms of life.

Probably, but right now there is no conclusive evidence to support that. However, more likely than not, there are extraterrestrials somewhere in the universe (if you believe in evolution.)
