Yes, my wife and I have times where we unplug the phone, light some candles ,put on some great soft music and just spend quiet time together relaxing, talking and just being alone together. I don't think many people take the time out of their busy lives to just be alone together. I find it is very good for our relationship and brings us closer as a couple. It is possible to shut out the world for a while and spend quality alone time together.

Interesting, I suppose that if there are two people each with the other, they are both with someone. I think that It really means no one else is present, and they are left alone by others. This odd phrase tends to apply especially to young couples.

Physically yes. Mentally, no, not really, for they will always have in their mind someone else from the past or a fantasy person. You might be in their thoughts for a brief time but then someone else creeps in and then you are not alone anymore are you. Ask yourself and see if it is not true.

No, I don't think so.
There are always parts of the other person you will never knpw; they are the sum of their experiences and history, and they carry that with them, just as you do.
