how do you play balderdash without having to buy the boardgame...i want to play it at my b-day party?

Get thee to a library. Find an unabridged dictionary in the reference section. Find obscure words and jot them down along with their definitions. The game scores one point for everyone who chooses the correct definition and one point for every time one's fake definition is chosen. The public domain version of Balderdash is called, amazingly enough, The Dictionary Game.
