She has gone to India against the court order. This will close her doors but it does not help in getting the child back. How to settle this? Imptt: she is psychotic not based on me but based on many friends ... I have a feeling my daughter will end up like my m.i.l. / wife - they are constantly at each others throat.

So you think that if you offer your ex wife a gesture of generoisty with a financial settlement, that she'll appreciate it and not bother you again? BLAH HA HA HA HA! Show me a single woman in the world that is reasonable and logical in a divorce when it comes to kids or money! My advice is to be glad she's in India, change your address, and be glad she's gone!

I'm not sure how I feel about the whole financial settlement in exchange for custody of your daughter.. That just sounds off to me... almost like you're buying your own daughter. I don't know, there's just something unsettling about that idea in general.

As far as your wife going to India against courrt order.. There should be something that they can do about that, to force her to come back, or if nothing else, bring your daughter back.

You say your wife is "psychotic" based on the opinions of friends?? That doesn't hold up, not at all.. You need to look into having her evaluated by a professional, before labeling the mother of your child that way.

I hope everything works out in your daughter's best interest. If that means she goes to be with you, then that's great.. and if not, as long as she's happy, safe, and well taken care of.. that's what matters.

In a problem, everyone likes to round up company. Worries feed on sympathy. If she has it through friends, you are trying it via this forum. Neither can be blamed.

No one can help you through your hurts except you and she together.if you both cared enough to start a relationship, I feel you owe it to each other to exit without hurting one another. Create situations to resolve the issues. Dont be high handed. It is important NOT to be judgemental. It IS important to forgive.

Financial settlement? Your money is not a substitute for your daughter's entitlement in life - which is BOTH parents. Understand that a daughter will always look up to you for many things, but she is a girl at heart. She will naturally align with her mother.

Dont waste your capabilities on anger. Think of the well being of your daughter in every breath, its worth every bit of sweat and every **** that will be thrown at you if you do something good for your daughter who you too conceived.

Take heart.

Are your friends medical doctors? They have no place to diagnose whether she is psychotic. I know you may feel this way, but is there any way possible that you created the situation? What was your role in the end of this marriage? You do need a lawyer. I don't think money will make most women leave their child.

well i would say that any woman in her right mind would tell you where to go, but since you say she is a little off then she might just take you up on what you got to offer. I say try it, it can't hurt.

Once they leave the country, it is a difficult situation. See what your lawyer can do.
