why don't you try your local newspaper (classified section) or your local shop advertising board i got one for £150 if your lucky you'll get a good deal

I had the same problem,i only had a couple of hundred quid.
I got friendly with the i t company which my employer use.
Their i t people are in my workplace once per month.
I am told that they constantly get people wanting to upgrade their laptops,a few weeks later a laptop turnd up at 200 pounds,i also think that youve got a little bit of a come back if anything goes wrong,,,,good luck

you could try ebay. Or you could try using a search engine online such as google to look for cheap laptops and see what pops up for you. Sometimes this will bring up really good deals online. You'd be surprised. Or you can always use shopzilla.com they compare prices for you on everything.

to be honest one of the best things you can do is search the internet for a dell laptop or even pc world. Just seen an advert for pc world where they are selling a fairly ecent laptop with pretty much everything you ned for £499

I'm looking too - Woolworths have 5 for £399, or Dell start cheaper but then you customise with extras, so would probably end up paying the same. From my research, I think about £400 is minimum, but if you find cheaper please let me know! Try Dixons & Currys as well.

eBay. The only thing it you won't get the same warrante as you would if you bought it in a main stream store online or in the city. you may want to weigh your pros and cons there.
