Tis a gr8 name, I considered it 7 years ago when my first child was born, but he was a boy! Sad to say it is becoming quite common. I am a teacher and there seems to be a flood of ciara, kiera's (and other spellings) in the reception/early years. Think some more, look for other ideas, my daughter....now 4 is called Tyla, after I gave up on Kiera. Have a happy time with the baby.

It's a beautiful name but unfortunately it'll end up being really, really common because of Keira Knightly. If you're considering it for a child, think again ...

I think Keira is a really good baby name. It is short ,sweet, cute anything that describes a baby girl... how about Ke Ke for a nickname??
Good Luck on a Girl!!!

I think it's beautiful, but I do think there will be a lot of Keira's in her school. It's becoming very popular.

I like it a lot, and as for the comment about the dog name, I completely disagree, it is a person's name and I think it is beautiful

A pretty name, just too many variants on the spelling. As a preschool teacher its great when I know how to spell names!

Its a Gaelic name and it means Dark, Black.

Whether I like it, personally, depends on the pronunciation you have in mind, and frankly, doesn't matter. It's going to be your baby and the name will be hers.

Congratulations on the Baby Girl.
