In asda today, which was pretty full and annoying.
Walking with two of my young children, who were pushing the trolley
and i was steering it from the front.
There was a disabled woman in one of them electric chair things
sorry to say this but she stank, was not bothered about her appearance and just in general a tramp!
The kids happened to knock her chair trying to get past "all be it only a slight knock.
This woman says "excuse me but can you not ram my chair you stupid cow"
In a nice as possible voice i said sorry love it was the kids and it was only a tap.
At this point she started shouting "no it was you, you stupid F****** *****"
To which i just wanted to slap her in her face and tell her how bad she smelt.
But decided to just laugh and walk away.
WAS I RIGHT OR WRONG/?
What would you have done?

Well I wouldn't have said "sorry love it was the kids" I would've looked at her, apologised, then when she started shouting, I wouldve said "listen YOU stupid little woman, i have two children here i am trying to keep control of - and you - all you have is your f'cking electric chair so why don't you watch where the hell YOUR going !!!" Then say come on kids, and walk on -make sure you give her the evil eye as you flee as well lol x

She's the one with the problem NOT you! Besides, how would that make you look to anybody passing by if you were seen with two young children in tow, arguing and yelling with an old handicapped woman? YOU would be the bad guy instead of her looking like the cranky old phsychopath she is. You did the right thing by just blowing her off and movin on!

I know what u mean, i was shopping with my young daughter & we were playing about when she gave me a shove from behind (messing about) and i happend to lightly push the lady infront of me, she went balistic, shouting and swearing, i just wanted to shout straight back & show her what a real shove was but i took a big breath, asked my daughter to say sorry for pushong me then apologised to the lady and at that point my 4yr old piped up "see mummy said sorry so there is no need to shout !!!"
We must never loose our temper infront of the children but talk about over reaction !!!!!!! :) - silly old cow !

You did the right thing.

It is almost impossible to steer these trolleys around the supermarket at the best of times and some people are just grumpy for the sake of it.

Well done for showing your children that sometimes it's not worth the argument!!

You did the right thing. Just because she is disabled does not mean she has to stink. Soap and Water does not cost that much and there is no need for rudeness or profanity. Walking away was the best approach.

You did the right thing, it's true you would have looked like the guilty person fighting with a crabby old crow in a wheelchair, probably just too lazy to walk, you could maybe have reported her for foul behaviour, but they probably wouldn't have done anything.

You showed that hag how a lady conducts hersef in public, well done you did the right thing. I dont think i could have coped with that situation I would have blown my top, disabled or not.
Anyway ten out of ten for the wonderful way you handled it all.

You handled yourself and the situation really well, and she just made a fool of herself. (Though I'm quite certain from the description you've given, that this is a common occurrence with her!) She's obviously not right in her head, and you don't know how far she would have gone. You set a great example for your kids.

You did the right thing. What would it have benefitted anyone ifyou had assaulted her (which a slap would have been) or to tell her she smelled (leave that to one of her friends) If anyone saw what happened they would know she was the main aggressor (even though it was only verbal) You did not need to do anything....and, wisely, you didn't.
Well done.

You didn't descend to her miserable level. Good for you. I can see how it was tempting, but you took the high road. Smacking her one would've just made you feel bad about it later on. And it wouldn't have changed or improved anything about her pathetic old soul. So you did the right thing.
