I loved the names Lydia, Eleanor(not different) Alex or Lexie mine are Abbie (buy one get one free name where we live!) and Jennifer (unusual in UK NOT in USA!) My sister is Collette which I think is very beautiful french and different mine is Reba!

Good luck you never ever really settle on a name six months down the line you will hear a name and regret not calling your daughter that!

And also beware WHATEVER name you give your child that spectre of nickname appears my two are Poppy and Lou respectively nothing like Jennifer and Abbie!

I just had a baby a few weeks ago and so Ive still got some names swirling around in my head, as I told the other person who asked a similar question. Let's see:

I love the name Michael, for a girl. Yes, I know, but its yours if you need it.

Also there's

McKenna, Fallon, Kai (means sea in Hawaiian), Kinsey, Lane or Laney, Jolene, Jocelyn, Henniah, Kemiley, Nadia, or Raegan

Hey, you said different not ugly.

Well before I had my girls.. both of their names were unique.. However my oldest's name is becoming ever more popular (Sierra) but in 1998 when she was born.. it wasnt around. My 5 year old's name is still rare.. I have heard it only 2 times.. But her name is Taryn. I get alot of compliments on it...

Also my neice has a unique name... Her name is Allura. They call her Allie for short.. that is not all unique.. so to answer your question.. I say

Taryn and Allura

I like flower names

Rose, Violet, Lily

I always wanted to call a little girl Lily Rose or Violet Rose

Also Welsh girls' names - Catrin (Welsh for Katherine) and Angharad.

We had planned to call our son Rose Catrin Angharad if he was a girl!!

I like names that you can have cute nicknames as well...
Like Caitlyn..Caiti, Camille..Cami, or Abigail..Abby

You will know when you hear a name and love it, then when you see your baby...you will just know!

Congrats and good luck on finding the "perfect" name! :)

We called our daughter Alexandra but she's known as Sasha (the Russian derivative of the name). We chose it because of all the other options it gives her - Al, Ali, Alex, Alexi, Xandra, Andy, Lex, Lexi, Lexa etc etc etc ...

Go for something you like. I know this sounds strange but when the baby is born, it will have a certain look that only you know ( i think all mothers will agree) then you can see if your baby "looks like" an Emma or what ever you pick.
