we have used it for a couple of years, no problems, i wouldnt click on any links you are sent, in messages, from people you dont know

there has been lately,, the problem of fake login pages coming up,,,,,, if people dont notice and log in, the source of them gets your login info and then messes with your page , but that has happened with Yahoo also, so i dont think its specific to myspace

It will be as safe as u make it. If u are cautious and mindful of ur activities while visiting the site, it can be very safe. There is no need to approve every friend request. And even though some ads, games and offers for free goodies are very inviting and tempting, some can be a trap, one way or the other. Some lead to other sites, and some lead to a prompt for information that u don't realize that u are giving out. The best advice I can give to u other than being mindful of how u decide who u mix with, would be to change ur password every now and then. I even alternate the email that i use. Comfort is a wonderful thing, but our habits are what make it easy for those that take advantage of our need to do things the same all of the time. They use these habits to invade our privacy and steal our identities. Changing things up every now and then is a good way to keep one step ahead of them.

Yes myspace is safe for any computer. It just might not be safe for the user. As long as you don't give out personal info like ur Phone # or address it'll be fine.
